Simon and Garfunkel

I'm giving in to temptation and contemplating the (very real) challenge of doing some S&G on trumpet. I assure you it is extremely difficult to do proper songs on a wind instrument.

Got hold of an anthology of their songs, but aside from Bridge Over Troubled Water, all the piano transcriptions are simplified versions of the original guitar accompaniment. Plus, none of the famous S&G counterpoint included. But the counterpoint is the simple part. How do you make a piano play (not sound) like a guitar??

I thinking of...

Sound of Silence
Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M.
For Emily, Wherever I May Find Her
Kathy's Song
Bridge Over Troubled Water (Ensemble finale. This would be the easiest. Original piano, and long soaring lines that scream "violin")

Maybe need an upbeat song, right?
